Highway 84 wreck | Free News

Traffic was diverted for hours Thursday when a tanker truck and car were involved in a wreck on Highway 84 East near the Jones-Wayne County line. Repeated attempts to get details the Mississippi Highway Patrol, which was the lead investigative agency on scene, were unsuccessful Friday. It also was unknown if there were any injuries reported. First-responders from Powers, Sandersville and Rustin, along with Wayne County Fire, Wayne County Sheriff’s Department and Wayne General Hospital all responded to the wreck, which was reported before 7 Thursday morning.
